Göreme Panorama:
Your tour begins with a visit to Göreme Panorama, one of the best viewpoints for appreciating Cappadocia’s extraordinary landscape. From this panoramic viewpoint, you can admire the fairy chimneys, valleys, rock formations, and the distinctive landscape surrounding Göreme.

Pigeon Valley:
Continue to Pigeon Valley, named after the thousands of pigeon houses carved into the soft volcanic rock. Pigeons played an important role in the traditional agricultural life of Cappadocia, as their manure was historically used as a natural fertilizer.

There was a lot of activity scheduled for the trip. The views were great. I enjoyed the underground tunnels, the walk to the Selime cathedral and the ancient cave monasteries. If I asked the guide anything I was curious about, he answered everything. I don't think I would have understood anything if I had just walked around each place, and I think I would have gotten lost, especially in the underground city, if I had gone around on my own. There were a lot of Japanese people there, including myself, so the guide spoke slowly and in simple English, which I was very grateful for.

He took the time to walk us through each location - Goreme Panorama, Pigeon Valley, Selime Monastery, Underground City (the coolest experience with so much history in the caves), a delicious lunch on the river with grilled kebabs and then finally a walk through Ihlara Valley where we visited a nun's monastery with paint/carvings from the 11th century. Highly recommend this tour - Hasan is the best guide I had in all of Turkey.
